Moorhead Youth Hockey is currently accepting applications for Concession/Pro Shop Workers, Zamboni Drivers, and Arena Maintenance (for the 2025-2026 fall/winter season). 

We operate and manage two locations: The Cullen Hockey Center and The Moorhead Sports Center!  

 Part Time Concession/Pro Shop Worker (14 and up):  (WE ARE FULL, if you apply, we will keep your application on file.  If something opens up we will call or email)

We are looking for a couple of Friday DAYTIME staff workers for our tournament weekends - perfect for a stay-at-home Mom, college student, or retiree!  Our tourney schedule can be found here!

We need staff beginning in August through mid-May (2-4 shifts a week! Shifts usually range from 3-5 hours.  We plan to begin training staff at the end of July to be ready for our August Tournament weekends. Then there's a little weekend tournament break until the official hockey season begins—winter season tournaments can be found HERE! 

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO WORK 2 SHIFTS A WEEKEND during our busy winter tournament season. We are flexible, and you can take weekends off, just not several weekends in a row in season.  It takes a lot of teamwork to have great tournament weekends, and we need reliable, hard-working people!!

Customer Service is HUGE...Come to work with a smile!  Converse with customers, be self-motivated, be able to work independently when needed, & work well with others on our busy weekends! Teamwork is a must at the CHC & MSC on the ice and in concessions! 

Concession - Main Duties include Food Preparation, handling cash, cleaning equipment, and stock inventory as needed or directed. 

Pro Shop - sell products,  handle cash, stock inventory, sharpen skates (we will train you),  light cleaning, and organizing.  

We don't like to be bored, and we take pride in keeping our rink nice.  When slow, you will be expected to do some light cleaning in lobby areas, and fill TP, Soap, Paper Towels as needed in restrooms.  The hours are flexible, but you must be reliable!! 

Concessions Assistant Manager (Seasonal)  (Position filled) Duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling, training staff, picking up and delivering items to concessions, organizing & cleaning in Concessions, and occasionally working concessions on Friday days (on tournament weekends). This would be a great job for a stay-at-home Mom, HS grad, college student, or someone newly retired.  It's flexible for the most part, and you will know ahead of time what Fridays you work, depending on our Tournament Schedule. Must like working with and training teenagers!

Part Time Rink Attendant (ages 17 and up):

  • Must be available evenings and weekends
  • May be responsible for opening and closing the Arena. 
  • General Maintenance of lobby areas, inside the rinks, locker rooms, bathrooms, emptying garbages, wiping up spills, cleaning floors, cleaning glass, etc.
  • Organizational skills are a plus - help keep equipment, chairs, table, and furniture where it belongs, wiped down, and organized. 
  • Sharpen Skates for customers when the Pro Shop Staff isn't available.  

Zamboni Operator (18 plus):

  • May be responsible for opening and closing the Arena
  • Zamboni driving experience is a plus, but not required. 
  • Attention to detail is a must, as you will be responsible for driving and maintaining the Zam. 
  • If you don't have experience, you must be willing to learn, take responsibility, and take ownership in maintaining the best Ice in the State! 
  • General Maintenance/Clean up in the Arena as needed - focus on locker rooms and around the ice rink.
